Next Point Ventures Apprenticeship with Robert Altman Design (RAD)

I connected with Next Point Ventures, a management consulting firm, through Acadium — a platform known for its marketing courses and entry-level apprenticeship program. I was assigned to support one of their clients, Robert Altman Design, a woodworking company, by building a strong social media presence that reflected its values of detailed layouts, functional designs, and collaborative processes. With minimal and inconsistent existing content, my goal was to post 3–6 times per week to increase reach and strengthen brand identity.

The following were my responsibilities and results as the Social Media Apprenticeship for Robert Altman Design (RAD) under the mentorship of Marc Snyderman.

  • Managed social media content and generated compelling copy for social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn) using Canva and Buffer to design and schedule posts 3-6x per week for 4 months.

  • Increased Instagram Impressions by 427%, Reach by 583%, Likes by 1195%, Comments by 2050% and new followers by 3700% organically without the use of ads over 3 months.

  • Conducted in-depth market research to identify potential customers and designed 5 detailed buyer personas for the company to reference.

Instagram Data (Audience Age)

Instagram Insights – Juice Bar Client (Arizona)

I started working at an Arizona Juice Bar & Coffee Shop on October 2024. Before I spearheaded on improving the company’s social media presence and reach, I wanted to get to know the company’s target audience, their mission and other factors that could potentially affect their image and performance. After briefly gathering some data, I decided it would be best to hone in on increasing brand awareness. The company had been opened for 2-3 years, but it wasn’t until April 2024 that new management took over. The company had acquired many mediocore and critical reviews so it had lost many customers. My manager wanted to improve its hospitality and product quality as a way to rebrand their image. Upon being hired, the company was already gaining traction and loyal customers.

Since the face of the company was in much better shape than before, I wanted to shift the social media presence having a stronger and cleaner feed by posting a balance of fun, aesthetic and informative content. The social media account had over 60 professional stock images which my manager and I decided to archive because it did not reflect a consistent and strong brand. The following information is what I’ve cultivated and acquired based on my time with the company.

Overarching Goals

  • Increase Brand Awareness by increasing Reach to over 15,000 per month and Views by over 18k per month on Social Media to ultimately increase number of transactions and monthly revenue.

  • Determine the correlation between content-creation and monthly transactions and revenue.

This project was created while assisting a cafe/juice bar’s marketing efforts under the supervision of my manager. All content produced is public-facing and reflects my role in content creation, strategy & analysis. The data shown below is either anonymized or simulated to protect the client’s privacy. No private business information has been disclosed, and I do not claim ownership of the brand.

Strategy

  • Design flyers to give a 10% discount to workers in Watermark area.

  • Design flyers to post on ASU campus (within a mile) to attract students. Give 20% discount to ASU students and staff.

  • Create and edit flyers to give a 10% discount to workers within the plaza.

  • Alternate between posting Educational Content(eg. Fruit Facts) & Product Content (eg. smoothies, juices, etc) to improve brand credibility and showcase quality. Also included cafe/juice bar-related meme reels to entertain and cater to ASU Students and loyal customers. Minimum of 5 pieces of content per week.

Since Reels are proven to gain more Reach than any other forms of content on Instagram, my aim was to create more memes to gain as many Reach and Views as much as possible.

Results/Assessments

  • Filmed, designed, edited and scheduled entertaining and educational social media content and copy for Instagram, driving a 191% increase in likes, 409% increase in Reach and 1444% boost in comments from February to April 2025.

  • Determined that November and December are the company’s lowest month sales most likely due to holidays. Cold drinks such as smoothies are not popular during cold and rainy weather.

  • Family, Friends, and Customers love meme videos based on their comments and in-person feedback.

  • The company was unable to shoot and post much content for March because it was the busiest month thus far. Had we shot more content in March we would have higher views. If this is what would happen then the number of Views and Transactions would mirror between Jan - May.

  • Based on the Feb 20 - Mar 20 IG Analytics about 36% of total audience are aged 36-44 and 28% are aged 25-34. About 9% are aged 18-24. This makes sense considering that most of the company’s Instagram followers are family, friends and employees that work the building beside the store, which is composed of a few corporate businesses. The general age group in this building is anywhere between 25-50.

One Year Anniversary Goals
